How to Create a WiFi QR Code on Android

Android has a built-in option to share WiFi as a QR code for networks you're already connected to. For more control — or to create a code without connecting first — a browser-based generator works on any Android phone.

Using Android's built-in WiFi QR sharing

  1. Open Settings → Network & Internet (or Connections) → Internet / WiFi.
  2. Tap the gear icon next to the connected network.
  3. Tap "Share" — Android generates a QR code you can screenshot or display directly.

Menu names vary slightly by manufacturer (Samsung, Pixel, etc.), but the option is usually under the connected network's settings.

Using a browser-based generator

  1. Open the WiFi QR code generator in Chrome or any Android browser.
  2. Enter your SSID, security type, and password.
  3. Download the QR code as PNG, or print it directly.

Scanning a WiFi QR code on Android

Open the Camera app or Google Lens, point it at the code, and tap the network notification that appears to connect automatically.
